Title: Michael Jackson - Thriller Vinyl LP (1982 Original US First Press PAL 38112-2A Pitman) MINT
Description:
Up for sale is an absolute collector’s holy grail: a flawless, true 1982 original US first pressing of Michael Jackson’s Thriller. This is not a modern reissue or a late 80s budget reprint—this is an authentic, early-run master pressing from the legendary Columbia Records Pitman, New Jersey plant.
Pressing Details & Matrix Codes:
· Catalog Number: QE 38112 (Spine and Labels)
· Side A Deadwax Matrix (Stamped): P PAL 38112-2A
· Pressing Plant: Columbia Pitman ("P" stamp in deadwax)
· Jacket Details: Original gatefold design, includes original 1982 inner lyric/art sleeve in crisp condition.
· Back Cover Variation: [Keep only one: Includes the rare "Missing Co-Producer Credit" omission / Features the corrected "Co-Produced by Michael Jackson" text].
Condition Grading:
· Vinyl Condition: MINT (M). The vinyl surface is completely pristine and immaculate. It has zero surface scuffs, zero hairline scratches, and retains its full, bright factory gloss. No spindle marks on the center labels—essentially an unplayed, museum-grade archive copy.
· Sleeve/Jacket Condition: NEAR MINT (NM). The gatefold sleeve is structurally perfect with stiff cardboard, crystal-clear imagery, a sharp spine, and tight, un-split seams. Minor, negligible shelf storage wear to corners only. Inner sleeve is fully intact with no side splits. Original shrink wrap on the Jacket. Never Cleaned. As can be seen in the photos there is some dust from the jacket.
Shipping:
Will be shipped securely in a heavy-duty, professional cardboard record mailer with the vinyl removed from the outer jacket to prevent seam splits during transit. Tracking and insurance included.
Ship to USA Only.
