Description

This is a copy of the LP Thriller by Michael Jackson, very rare Zimbabwe issue from 1982 on CBS DNW 2819. Very few of these were released and most have been recycled in various austerity drives over the years. This copy came from a retired white farmer who left Zimbabwe in the late 1980s and came to live on the south coast of England. Most discographies don't mention this release.

The etched matrices are  DNW - 2819A  and  DNW - 2819B

The vinyl is in Very Good condition with quite few very faint hair-lines and tiny handling marks. It lays perfectly flat on the turntable and plays loud and clear with some occasional light background noise. The labels are clean with no stains, scuffs or stickers. There are two or three faint spindle lines on each side and a small name  F TAYLOR  written on Side One. most Rhodesia / Zimbabwe issues have white labels with blue or black lettering but full colour labels started to appear in the early 80s.

The cheap, recycled cardboard matt cover is in Very Good condition. There are no stickers, stains, tears, tape, splits or shelf wear. There is some general creasing, very faint ring wear starting to appear on both sides, a little sticker removal residue (on the back in the top right-hand corner) and a minute scuff at each end of the opening. The spine is perfectly readable. There is a small rectangle on the back in the bottom right hand corner with  4A  Belmont Printers. Belmont Printers were a company in the Zimbabwe capital Harare.

The original, clear plastic inner sleeve has some handling creases and wrinkles but no splits.

I ship in purpose-made strong cardboard mailers and I'm happy to combine multiple purchases to save postage costs. Please e-mail me with any questions.

For multiple purchases please add £1.25 per additional LP / 12" single, £2.00 for the EU and £3.50 for the rest of the world
