Description

Up for auction is an original 1982 Michael Jackson Thriller vinyl LP that has remained factory sealed since it was purchased through the Columbia House Record Club in the early 1980s.

This album has been in my parents’ home ever since it arrived in the mail over 40 years ago. It has never been opened or played and is being offered exactly as found.

Details

* Original 1982 release
* Epic Records
* Catalog number: QE 38112
* Columbia House mail-order edition
* Factory sealed (NOS – New Old Stock)
* 12-inch, 33⅓ RPM vinyl LP
* Original shrink wrap intact
* Includes original Columbia House mailing sleeve shown in the photos
* Barcode: 07464-38112-1

Thriller is the best-selling album of all time and includes classic tracks such as:

* Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’
* Baby Be Mine
* The Girl Is Mine (with Paul McCartney)
* Thriller
* Beat It
* Billie Jean
* Human Nature
* P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)
* The Lady in My Life

The catalog number, copyright information, and packaging are consistent with an original early-1980s release. Because the record remains factory sealed, I cannot verify matrix numbers or the exact pressing plant without opening it.

Condition

Please review all photos carefully.

* Factory shrink wrap remains intact.
* Album has never been opened.
* Typical light shelf/storage wear to the shrink after more than 40 years.
* Corners and edges show only minor age-related wear.
* Columbia House shipping sleeve is included and shows normal age and storage wear.

The album pictured is the exact one you will receive.
