Description
This 1982 copy of Thriller is from the first pressing at the "Pitman plant" and has the infamous error on the back of the outer jacket that does not list Michael Jackson as a producer. This copy only credits Quincy Jones as the producer. This error was corrected on all future releases/pressings to include Michael Jackson as producer as well.
The vinyl record itself of this somewhat rare 1982 first pressing is in remarkably excellent condition. I can see no scratches on it and it doesn't seem to have been played very much. The hole is in good shape as well.
The outer jacket / sleeve has some flaws, but it is still in pretty good condition. You can see that the two top corners are both bent a little bit and there are a few scuffs here and there, but the colors are vibrant and it looks pretty darn good.
The centerfold section is in excellent condition.
The inner sleeve is in good, maybe fair condition. You can see a tear in the center of the top edge where the record goes in to the sleeve. You can also see that on the three other sides that there is a little separation where a piece of the record kind of "peeks through" when it is out of the outer sleeve and if you hold it just right.
