Up for bid is an Original, Us Press, Michael Jackson Thriller Record, QE38112 1982. This album is in excellent condition with no cutouts, rips, fading, bends or hang holes. The record is in Still Sealed, Mint condition and the sleeve is in Mint condition. There is a very tiny tear (see photos) on the front. Included in this sale is a Free Michael Jackson magazine. Please disregard the default catalog description. Ebay keeps limiting my listing so I had to use the default description that does not match the actual item. My description is accurate, ask questions if you are still unsure because all sales are final, thanks!

Mint (M)

Absolutely perfect in every way. Certainly never been played, possibly even still sealed.(More on still sealed under "Other Considerations"). Should be used sparingly as a grade, If at all.
Near Mint (NM or M-) A nearly perfect record. Many dealers won't give a grade higher than this implying (perhaps correctly)that no record is ever truly perfect.
The record should show no obvious signs of wear. A 45 RPM or EP sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling.
An LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits or other noticeable similar defects. No cut-out holes, either. And of course, the same should be true of any other inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves and the like.
Basically, an LP in near mint condition looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap.
Near Mint is the highest price listed in all Goldmine price guides. Anything that exceeds this grade, in the opinion of both buyer and seller, is worth significantly more than the highest Goldmine book value.

Very Good Plus (VG+)

Generally worth 50 percent of the Near Mint value.
A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it.
Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK".
The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play.
Picture sleeves and LP inner sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount.
In general, if not for a couple things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint. All but the most mint-crazy collectors will find a Very Good Plus record highly acceptable.

Very Good (VG)

Generally worth 25 percent of Near Mint value. Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them.
Goldmine price guides with more than one price will list Very Good as the lowest price. This, not the Near Mint price, should be your guide when determining how much a record is worth, as that is the price a dealer will normally pay you for a Near Mint record.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+)

Generally worth 10-15 percent of the Near Mint value. Good does not mean Bad! A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear (on a styrene record, the groove will be starting to turn white).
A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.
It is a common item, you'll probably find another copy in better shape eventually. Pass it up. But, if it's something you have been seeking for years, and the price is right, get it...but keep looking to upgrade.

Poor (P), Fair (F)

Generally worth 0-5 percent of the Near Mint price. The record is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The LP cover barely keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split, crinkled, and written upon.
Except for impossibly rare records otherwise unattainable, records in this condition should be bought or sold for no more than a few cents each.

~ Payments ~

Payments must be made within 4 days. I will never ask for buyers to pay before that period nor will I flood buyers with invoices or e-mail reminders. You get one invoice and 4 full days to pay. I do ask that if you need additional time for unforeseeable circumstances or emergencies, please just send me a message or e-mail and we will work something out. All items not paid for will be re-listed unless prior arrangements have been made with the buyer. At this time I only accept Paypal only please.

~ Shipping ~

Fast shipping & Shipping is FREE in the U.S. unless the buyer wants a faster mailing option. Additional costs will apply therefore I ask that you contact me prior to bidding to request such options so that I may quote any additional costs. My goal is to offer FREE shipping to ALL but shipping outside the US can be costly. To help my customers outside the US, I split the shipping costs. So if shipping is $22.22, the buyer only pays $11.11. All taxes & fees are the buyers responsibility.

~ Returns ~

A 25% restocking fee will be applied on any items returned with no defects or because of buyers remorse. I sale rare items that can not be replaced & lose value when opened. The buyer is also responsible for any & all costs associated with the return. I do this to prevent people from misusing the system and small sellers like me. When I list items, I go through much trouble to provide as much detail as possible so that my buyers know exactly what they are getting. When I purchase items, I make sure I research & know exactly what I'm getting because I do not want to waste time or money. Item must be unopened & returned in the same condition in which it was shipped or the return will not be accepted. Again, I have to do this because there are so many dishonest people looking to get over on small seller such as myself.

As sellers we are required to have all items shipped out within 3 business days. Feedback should be based on the time frame from when the item was paid for to the time frame in which the item was shipped, NOT when your item arrives or is received!!! Once an item has been shipped, the seller has no control over how long the postal service delivers and in no way should be responsible or given negative feedback for this. Even in my own feedback, buyers have been unfair in leaving less than 5 stars when I ship using fast shipping options, ship items usually the same day and offer FREE shipping on everything within the US & 1/2 to customers outside the US?!?! ***Negative Feedback**

Recently I received negative feedback from a customer after over years of being here on eBay. The customer complains about having to pay return shipping & states he was never offered shipping. Not only was this customer offered free shipping but the post office also offered free shipping to is customer. This customer refused every shipping option I tried to provide & held the package hostage over 8 days! The customer was told to return the package at his own expense after I provided pro off repeatedly trying to help this customer. Below is one of many emails I sent to this customer. As you can see from the message that not only was the negative feedback unfair but untrue. I can not change the feedback nor can I for people to be honest but at least here you can see who was actually dishonest. I do ask that if you can not be deal honestly with me, please do not purchase anything from my store. The names have not been blotted out because this information is public on my feedback page. Hi,
You're making things way harder than it has to be. If you don't want to return the package as my post office said, you can go ahead & pay for the shipping & I will refund you as long as it is shipped as it was shipped to you. No,I didn't rush. As I told you, I had to custom make your box & wasn't sure where to put the label so that it would stay during the shipping process. Certain items I always take it to the post office so they see me pack the item & be witness to its condition. I handed the postal worker your box & your label but she insisted on taking both packages at once. I even called out the address so she could make sure the correct label was on the correct box. I go thru extra trouble when I sell items such as these & still took responsibility for this mistake. I've gone thru great efforts to make this right so what else do you want? You judge but you sat there & opened a box far bigger than the item you ordered??? You have to pray for me because I'm not perfect like you.I allow people a chance to do their job & if they make a mistake, the only thing I assume is that their human.I didn't rely on her to do anything but her job. Since 2007 I've been selling & hv only used my local USPS & not a single incident til now. It took 2 trips to make sure your package was right. If I wanted to rush, I would hv thrown it in a plastic mailer. I go beyond what's required of me as a seller here on ebay because I'm not required to ship in a box. It's amazing how you hv painted this entire synopsis, judging without ever being there to know all the facts. You are mistaken in your assessment. I was there an hour. I sat down at the table, wrote each label out, compared it to my buyer sheet & called out the address when I gave her the 2 packages. Another worker distracted her & she mixed up the labels period! If it had been my mistake, you know the post office would not attempt to intercept or pay for the shipping. Simple mistake, simple return, leave the rest out please
