Mick Abrahams - Mick Abrahams LP (UK, Jethro Tull, Blodwyn Pig, Chrysalis, EX)

This is a self-titled LP by Mick Abrahams, released in the UK by Chrysalis in 1971. 

Wikipedia:  Michael Timothy 'Mick' Abrahams (born 7 April 1943, Luton, Bedfordshire, England) was the original guitarist for Jethro Tull. He recorded the album This Was with the band in 1968, but conflicts between Abrahams and Ian Anderson over the musical direction of the band led Abrahams to leave once the album was finished. Abrahams wanted to pursue a more blues/rock direction, while Anderson wanted to incorporate more overt folk and jazz influences. He was replaced first by Tony Iommi who would leave Tull after only a few weeks and would later go on to form Black Sabbath, and then by Martin Barre who remains with Jethro Tull to this day.

Abrahams went on to found Blodwyn Pig and the group recorded two albums, Ahead Rings Out and Getting to This before breaking up in 1970. Abrahams soldiered on with the short-lived Wommet, then the Mick Abrahams Band and has continued to release albums by himself and with reunited versions of Blodwyn Pig. He has worked as a driver, lifeguard and financial consultant, occasionally playing gigs, especially to support causes in Dunstable, Bedfordshire.[2]

VINYL:  EX              The vinyl is a very strong EX condition with only a few faint paper marks on one side and only slightly more on the other. 

LABELS:  EX            The labels are green Chrysalis labels with only one or two tiny spindle marks on Side B.   The A side labels are EX+.   Please note, I do not use MINT or NM unless the item is sealed so EX+ means it's as close as you can get to new.  

INSERT: EX             The folded lyric insert is in amazing condition!!  There is virtually no edge/corner wear at all.  There is no surface wear, no stains, bending marks, creases or folds.   There is only a couple very tiny nicks in the top edge.   On the inside, there is some light brown marks along the bottom edge and the surface is a bit wavy on the bottom half.  This does not show on the outside.

SLEEVE:  EX           The EJ Day gatefold sleeve is very unique as only the back cover is textured.   Overall, there is some slight corner/edge wear with some heavy wear on the bottom of the spine.   On the open edge, there is a small bit of scuffing and a couple tiny nicks.  Otherwise, there is virtually no surface wear, inside or outside.  There is no fading, no sticker marks, writing or discolourations.

Email for combined postage rates.  I use heavy mailers with stiffeners and plastic sleeves which are included in the postage.  All items will have Proof of Postage.  If you want a tracking number with your order, please add £0.95 for the UK and £5.15 for everywhere else or email me and I will resend your invoice.  

Anything over £30 will be sent recorded delivery automatically.  Please wait for your invoice!  Recorded post is £0.95 extra within the UK and £5.15 in addition to normal postage charges for the rest of the world.  Special Delivery is available upon request.   This will cost more so please ask for estimated postage charges before you buy.

With apologies to our buyers, we have had to increase postage costs in response to a massive increase in postage by Royal Mail.  We still only charge what it costs us + a few pence for the cost of packing materials.

ITEM CONDITION:  All items are used unless otherwise stated.  I do my best to describe everything as accurately as possible but I'm human and do get it wrong sometimes.  I will happily accept returns with full refund + postage when the item is received in the condition it was sent.  I am using the Record Collector grading guide and only visually grade.  Any records I'm not sure about, I will listen to and note in the description.
