Description

Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.

Grading is based on visual inspection.

Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve and a 2 MIL poly inner sleeve..

I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.

New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played.  I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.

  • This interview with Jagger was conducted by FM radio pioneer and innovator, the late Tom 'Big Daddy' Donahue (KSAN-FM, San Francisco) in 1971. Donahue was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
  • This came out in April 1971 the same time as Rolling Stones Records' "Sticky Fingers". That was the introduction of the Tongue and Lips logo.  So, this was the first or second LP to ever appear on that label.
  • In addition, these were shipped almost exclusively to radio stations. Most likely that's why most of the other listings are used, they probably came from radio station libraries and have been played many times. This is not a copy that was sent to a radio station.
  • This is a Promotion Only release and was never released commercially.
  • This copy has never been played.
  • It is on thick vinyl.
  • Bonus:This copy also includes a letter of introduction to radio from Marshall Chess, president of Rolling Stone Records. BTW, Marshall is the son of Phil Chess, the founder of the iconic Chess-Checker-Cadet record label. Did you know? That the Stones recorded a great instrumental track on one of their early albums. That track was "2120 South Michigan Avenue" which happens to be the original address of Chess Records.
  • The generic white paper on board cover has tight seams and shows some slight storage wear.
  • The original generic white paper inner sleeve is included. I have added a soft poly inner sleeve.
  • This is a one-owner that the Seller got new from Atlantic-ATCO (Rolling Stones Records distributor). It has been in storage for 47 years.
