Mick Taylor, London Town, CBS, Mint unplayed demo with press release
Here is an A-label British demo pressing of London Town by Mick Taylor, released 1965. It has never been played and is still in the original CBS range-bag. Catalogue number 201770. Tucked inside the sleeve is the original CBS Records press release to go with the record, indicating Taylor ‘is a new folk singer of real distinction’.
The B-side, Hoboin’, is also mint/unplayed.
The labels are mint and there are no spindle marks. The press release has been folded once across the width of the paper, just over an inch down from the top, and in being kept this way for 48 years has worn somewhat along that line. Someone (probably in the CBS press office) has amended the original release date in pen from ‘28th May’ to ‘4th June’. This is all from 1965.
