Comments: Classy copy of what appears to be the first release on this label. A-side is a mid- to up-tempo soul mover with a Southern feel. B-side slows down but still has a snappy beat, strong melody and a vigorous vocal, making this a double-sider. 

 

Trivia: Jean Wells had previously recorded another version of “Keep Your Mouth Shut”, produced by Clyde Otis and released on Calla 159 in Feb 1969, as the final release of a total of eight for the label.
