Description
Mike Cooper 'Oh Really?' - classic extremely rare British country blues / folk album released on the Pye label in 1969. According to Wikipedia “his 1969 l.p. "Oh Really!?" on Pye Records is widely acclaimed as one of the best acoustic blues albums of the period”. It has been deleted for many years and is only available on (obviously much inferior CD) through Japanese import currently £33.79 on Amazon - where it is described as "a classic slice of British acoustic steel blues - Mike never released anything quite like it again and Oh Really?! now stands as one of the best British blues albums of the sixties".
This copy is in absolutely fantastic condition. It looks and sounds superb - as only good vinyl can. There are no scratches, crackles or jumps. It rates as NEAR MINT.
The front laminated cover is in excellent condition with no creases or tears but some slight rubbing to the edges. The spine is clearly legible. The rear cover however (see photo) has marks on the upper laminate foldback, some slight discolouration and some minor rubbing to the track listing - it looks like someone may have spilt something on it at one stage and then mopped it up slightly aggressively (although I can't remember who or when - but that's probably not surprising. Overall though I'd still rate the cover at a conservative minimum as Very Good++.
I can't stress how good this record sounds - as fresh and clear as when it was first bought. However (as I have on occasion bought albums on ebay and felt misled by the description) if you successfully bid and disagree with any of my assessment of its condition, I will offer a full refund (less p&p).
