Description
Mike Selesia - Flavor LP. This is an extraordinarily rare private press limited to 300 copies, supposedly recorded in a single afternoon, high on weed and opium-laced Tootsie Rolls. Jazz funk at its finest, out of Fresno, California circa 1976. In Mike Selesia's words: "This album is a product of musical workshops twice a week for an extended period of time. Experimentation through concentration and the proper flow of energy has helped capture the improvisational themes on the album. Virtuous musical tones, ideas and rhythms are available to the listener and performer of modern day music. These compositions are but a few of my musical ideas. I hope this album pleases the listener as it has enlightened and captured me. Many thanks for my musicians and their efforts of creativity. Happy listening, Mike Selesia." Super cool cover, label and music. Vinyl, cover and labels are M-. Tracks: Mr. P.C. (Coltrane), Yusefs Way, Silvers Serenade (H Silver), Castle Spook (part I), Eastern Raga, Flavor, Castle Spook (part II).
About me: I've been collecting records for a long time, over 20 years, but more heavily beginning in the early 90s. I'm not a professional dealer. The items I'm auctioning are coming from my collection. I remember the feeling of listening to some of these records for the first time; hopefully now I will be passing that feeling on to some of you. I'm also familiar with the feeling of receiving a record in worse condition than described and feeling cheated; I have no desire to have any transaction end that way here. Every record here is visually inspected and play-graded and will be shipped in sturdy record mailers. I'm selling off some of my records because I sadly need the money, but it's also my aim that the record brings you happiness and not regret. I'm putting up some killer rarities so please check my other auctions for more soul, funk, jazz, Latin, Brazilian, African goodness. My scale goes: S/S (still sealed), M-, VG+, VG, VG-, G, F.
Payment:?
Paypal preferred. Personal checks only from US buyers with feedback rating over 100; item will not be shipped until check clears. Payment to be made within seven days of auction's close. I will send you an invoice at the end of the auction. If you have won multiple items please wait for my invoice because eBay checkout will probably give you an incorrect shipping total. Buyers with less than 20 feedbacks should contact me before bidding for approval or your bid may be canceled!??
