Description
Here we have a 'One Off' rare demo of the backing instrumental's for the Neil Christian's record called 'I Like It'. It was recorded at The Millwick studios which was owned by Lionel Segal in 1965. The producer was Miki Dallon. There is a different take on each side. The artist's playing on these sides are Jimmy Page on lead guitar, Carlo Little (ex Savages) on drums, Nicky Hopkins on piano and additional piano with Miki Dallon. Neil's vocals were added later. These two instrumentals were later re-mixed to be on a recording called 'When I Was Sixteen' again in 1965.
Although Neil's vocals are not on these takes, these two instrumentals must be a rare recording if you are collecting anything by him or Jimmy Page or the others?
Both sides of the record have scuffs, surface marks and surface noise (see photos) but they do play from start to finish.
Neil passed away in January this year, he was a good friend.
