Description

Mildred Bailey "Big City Blues" Vinyl LP. Regent MG-6032. Circa 1960.. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail. My understanding is that this is a Hi-FI remaster of the 1957 Mono recording titled, Mildred Bailey Sings Me and the Blues". Both share the same MG-6032 designation. Indeed the record label actually titles the album 'Me and the Blues".  Mildred passed away in 1951, so both versions were taken from the original 78 rpm recordings. This is not a Stereo recording. The cover is in nice shape with the exception of a very old cellophane tape repair to the bottom edge. Minor wear to the corners. Missing original inner sleeve. Shipped in a clear plastic inner sleeve.(Please see pictures). Play tested. Very little hiss or crackle. No skips. Notable pops in the middle of 'I'll Close My Eyes' and at the beginning of 'Lover Come Back To Me'. Overall, very listenable with a tonality consistant with recordings from the 1930's and 1940's.
