Miles Davis – Agharta – Original 1975 Double Vinyl Album CBS 88159 Collector’s Item
This is a collector’s item. It is my personal copy of the original double album by Miles Davis. It is very rare to find an original copy of this album. As with the previous Miles Davis albums I have sold, the album has only been played twice (second time to copy it to tape).
The album was released on the CBS Record Label in 1975,catalogue number CBS 88159.
All four sides carry the original A1/B1 matrix numbers, therun outs being

Disk 2 Side 1 CBS 80985 A1 88159 C
Disk 2 Side 2 CBS 80985 B1 88159 D
Agharta was recorded in Osaka, Japan.
Anyone purchasing this album should note the following
On all versions of this release tracks C and D (LP-wise) on the second disc are mixed up, so the second disc's first track is really the one labeled "Theme From Jack Johnson" (which is a full performance of "Right Off" and ends with a version of the theme from "So What", a track from Davis' 1959 LP Kind of Blue). So track D is actually the one labeled "Interlude" and is a medley of "Ife" and "For Dave". For CD releases, these two tracks were merged into a single seamless track.

I have owned this album since I purchased it and have no tplayed this particular album in well over 40 years. I sold many of my Miles Davis albums to a collector some years ago but still have this and two others. Although the surface of the record looks excellent I have no way of telling howplayable it is (I did have a good Pioneer Hi-Fi).
I did spend a large part of my early life in Findlay’s record shop on the Cow Wynd in Falkirk and Bruce’s in Edinburgh collecting albums. Hope this goes to a good home and someone who appreciates Miles Davis.
