Description

An original 1st press on CBS from 1970. Matrix A1/B1/C1/D1. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover printed by Ernest J Day [unlaminated]. Also included are two original CB advertising inner sleeves from the early 70's. 
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) Looking in great condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side, maybe a very superficial trail - absolutely nothing heavy or sinister looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveal a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback with a couple of deviations. When on song this LP is superb, but don't expect it to hit the top grades for clean playing. The issues I could pick up were...in the second short track at the end of side 3. There's a small mark in this track which causes 10 or so low-level ticks. They are low in the mix - and NOT upfront. Expect a touch of light static here and there throughout. Mostly it is all pretty low in the mix and does not distract. The only tracks where it's elevated is during 'Bitches Brew'. And also on the lower key track 'Sanctuary' - there's a bit of crackle here and there. It's not invasive - but it is certainly more noticeable due to the tracks low-key nature. Overall a very decent and enjoyable rendition of this Miles classic.
Cover (Ex-) A difficult cover to find in top condition as many will be quite worn by this point in time. Very nice clean front and rear without creasing and only minor handling noticeable. The interior looks great with no noticeable issues. Edge wear is very slight for this title - except a two inch wear-through patch in the middle of the bottom edge of the right panel. The spine is in excellent order with just light wear - all text still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Vg+) Aged, but no splits.
