Description

Prestice 7012 with 446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C. address on both labels and the bottom of the back cover. Deep groove which appears wider and narrower in places. Davis is accompanied by Sonny Rollins, tenor sax; Jackie McLean, alto sax; Walter Bishop, piano; Art Blakey, drums; Tommy Potter, bass. 5 tracks. Rare original issue. Cover: VG Some aging scotch tape along the bottom edge. 7" split on the spine. Some peeling of the lamination along the spine. There is a small fragment(about 1 1/2" ), sliver of paper loss at the top spine as seen on the front cover. There is some edgewear along all the edges which includes a few small pieces of paper loss on the spine. Small scuff marks on the cover appear to follow a record ring. For the most part these are light scrapes. Light to moderate aging on the back cover. Most occurs along the edges of the back cover. Record: VG+ to Mint (-) Visually shows no wear but appear to have been played a number of times. There are several light surface rub marks on each side of the record. Except for an occasional small interval of light groove noise, no other surface noise. Possibly more audible at the beginning of the tune "Blueing (Track 1, Side B). I have accounted for the described noise by the VG+ part of the overall rating. I would describe the audible noise as minimally intrusive and the general overall condition closer to Mint(-). Audibly checked.
