Description
Mid-60’s U.K. MONO textured label CBS pressing of Miles Davis ‘E.S.P.’ L.P. (CBS BPG 62577). The band here features Herbie Hancock and Tony Williams. I’m fairly confident this is a first pressing the sleeve is manufactured by Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd. The sleeve has flipbacks on all sides and is laminated. The vinyl is in the original CBS ‘The Sound of Entertainment’ inner sleeve and has textured labels. I can confidently say that this copy is as good as you are going to find. It is graded as being in EXCELLENT+ condition. The laminated front sleeve has a lovely sheen to it. The cover opening has not frayed and the rear is still white (however, there are a couple of light spots of brown here and there. The vinyl is graded as being in NEAR MINT condition. I’m not convinced this copy has every seen play (more condition details below).

Condition
L.P. Cover
This is in EXCELLENT+ condition. There are a couple of minor flaws. There are a couple of light spots of brown (from handling) on an otherwise white rear sleeve. Three of the four corners have received light knocks. This really is a beautiful copy, which in many respects could have been manufactured yesterday.
Vinyl
Has this copy been played? I can see one or two light hairline scratches presumably as a result of the vinyl being removed from the sleeve for review otherwise it looks like it was pressed yesterday. This is as close to NEW as you are going to get and is graded NEAR MINT!
Concluding Remarks
A simply stunning copy of library-like condition. Buy this and put it in museum! Please check my other auctions for further Davis and vintage modern jazz Lps in stunning condition!
General Terms etc.
Payment available via Paypal and Personal Cheque. Payment is expected within 7 days of auction end unless agreed otherwise. Postage costs are for standard Royal Mail delivery in the U.K. and all items are (in my opinion) well packaged. I endeavour to dispatch items as soon as possible. Overseas buyers are welcome. You don’t need to email me. So long as you can pay me efficiently (i.e. Paypal) and I can get the item to you then that is good enough for me! However, if you want me to investigate postage costs overseas in advance of auction end then let me know!
Lastly, I endeavour to be accurate with all my grading. I have been a collector for in excess of 15 years and I would describe myself as being conservative (I think my feed-back speaks for itself in this respect)! If you are not entirely happy with your purchase then contact me.
