Miles Davis JAP Reissue 2LP Get up with it EX ’81 Sony 28AP2613-4 Jazz Fusion
Japanese Reissue 2LP released in 1981 on Sony/CBS Records. Cat: 28AP2163-4. This album has a gatefold sleeve.When Get Up with It was released in 1974, critics let alone fans had a tough time with it. The package was a by then customary double LP, with sessions ranging from 1970-1974 and a large host of musicians who had indeed played on late-'60s and early-'70s recordings, including but not limited to Al Foster, Airto, John McLaughlin, Reggie Lucas, Pete Cosey, Mtume, David Liebman, Billy Cobham, Michael Henderson, Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarrett, Sonny Fortune, Steve Grossman, and others. The music felt, as was customary then, woven together from other sources by Miles and producer Teo Macero. However, these eight selections point in the direction of Miles saying goodbye, as he did for six years after this disc. This was a summation of all that jazz had been to Davis in the '70s and he was leaving it in yet another place altogether.

There are some light spindle marks on labels. Records have a few light scuff marks that cause a few light crackles and are in Excellent condition. Thick gatefold cover has some ring wear, a small sticker stain on top right corner and is in VG++ condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
