Description

The item I'm offering for auction is a rare, promotional LP of Miles Davis' seminal album "Kind of Blue" - Columbia Records catalog number CS 8163.

The sleeve is separated along the top and bottom of the right-hand side, from the opening to about five inches inward. The upper right-hand side separation was mended, years ago, with a piece of tape (which should be visible in the photo). The edges are otherwise sharp.

The vinyl disc - white, 6-eye Columbia label - is VG+. It has light surface scratches. There's a few pops an pings upon playback, but it's minimal. It plays beautifully.

This promotional "demonstration" LP contains 5 tracks - Side A) "So What," "Freddie Freeloader," and "Blue in Green." Side B) "Flamenco Sketches" and "All Blues." On this early version of "Kind of Blue," the printed play order on side 2 is switched: Track 1 is "Flamenco Sketches" and track 2 is "All Blues."

This is sure to make a discerning Miles Davis fan and collector very happy.
