Description

Miles Davis Quintet w/ George Coleman(tenor sax), Herbie Hancock(piano), Ron Carter(bass) and Tony Williams(drums), recorded at Jazz Villa in June of 1963, except for the last track on side two, which consists of the Herbie Hancock Trio w/ Theodore Robinson(drums) and Cleveland Eaton(bass), recorded June 24 of 1961. The album is unauthorized(i.e., a bootleg) but the fidelity suggests either a board mix(not audience) or perhaps a radio broadcast, and is better than some of those murky live Columbia releases.  The cover is immaculate and the record is clean with minimal surface noise although side two has a surface blemish(see photo).
