Description
Miles Davis – Miles in the Sky
Columbia Records • Stereo Pressing
Matrix (Runouts):
• Side 1: CS2163-C (hand-etched) • BG
• Side 2: CS8163-8 (hand-etched, possibly S) • BG 08
Vinyl is archival-level clean and appears virtually unplayed. High gloss, no spindle wear, no handling marks — this is easily one of the cleanest surviving copies of this pressing.
The jacket is in exceptional condition and still housed in its original heavy factory plastic, which is rare and typically only found on copies that were never heavily handled or circulated.
⸻
🎧 Play Grade: NM (Near Mint)
Record plays beautifully with warm, clear sound typical of a BG-mastered cut.
There is one extremely small factory pressing artifact visible under strong angled light. During play, this spot produces one soft tick on a single rotation.
• No repeating noise
• No skips
• No impact on musical passage
• Otherwise silent play throughout
This is consistent with a factory inclusion, not damage.
