with original Analogue Productions COVER

Analogue Productions Test Pressing,

manufactured prior to the Ltd. Edition run of 1,000

180g Virgin Vinyl, 2 LPs at 45rpm (AJAZ-7200)

Mastered by Steve Hoffman for Analogue Productions from the original master tape in 2004.

Hear this classic album at the best it has ever sounded — on quiet 180g premium vinyl,
from the real original master tape, cut at 45rpm on an all vacuum-tube system.

Analogue Productions Catalog Number:  AJAZ 7200

Condition: Album Cover

(Near Mint) A beautiful example – No edge wear, not even in the vulnerable black portions, for the very good reason that it has never been on a shelf with a record in it.  Straight corners, no ring-wear, no seam-splits.  It’s an unused cover that was designed by Analogue Productions specifically for this album.

Condition: Test Pressing Record LPs

Sealed, factory new.

The perforated edge of the loose-fit outer plastic outer bag-cover is sealed and completely intact.  Each of the two individual test pressings is housed in its own plain white cover, and each is individually sealed, inside the outer bag-cover which is also sealed.  So, three sealed bag-covers all together.  Each plain white cover is stamped in the upper right hand corner with the album Catalog number for “Steamin’” (AJAZ-7200), “A/B” on one and “C/D” on the other, and both are stamped with the same production date, October 10, 2003.

Looking closely through two plastic bags at each plain white cover, I see no seam-splits or other damage to the plain white test pressing covers, they are in top-condition.

Most people understandably would like a correct album cover for their LPs, both for proper storage and for the album artwork and associated liner notes, etc.  The whole back side of this album is covered with interesting text.  Most collectors would also be thrilled to have a Test Pressing, but they almost always come with only the standard plain white cover.  Here is a rare opportunity to acquire BOTH the correct original Analogue Productions album cover AND the Test Pressing LPs from the earliest possible stamper usage.

Truly a complete package, in top-condition, all around.  Rarely seen or offered.

 As good as it gets.

Packaging:

The sealed album will be placed inside another clear poly outer protective album cover, then sandwiched between two cardboard stiffener pads (cut larger than album-size) which are then carefully taped together.  This ensures that the stiffener pads prevent corner dings, and to prevent seam splits to the cover during transit.  I have used this method for many years to practically eliminate seam splits on sealed LPs.

The album is then packaged in a regular record LP mailer box with cardboard stiffeners and sealed.
