Description
You are bidding on the long out-of-print Mosaic Records 10-QLP set, " Miles Davis: The Complete 1963-64 Columbia Recordings ", Mosaic MQ10-226. This set is numbered #0604 of an edition limited to no more than 3,000 sets. (Please note, however, that it appears likely that fewer than 1,000 sets were ultimately pressed.)
I am the original owner of this Mosaic boxed set. I purchased it in the spring of 2007 shortly after Mosaic Records placed it in "Last Chance" status. Since its purchase, the set has been stored upright (i.e., vertically) in a climate controlled, smoke-free home.
I grade vinyl records very conservatively, and I would grade each side of the ten LPs in this set as either "Near Mint" or "Very Good Plus" as follows:
LP #1 (Side A / Side B): VG+ / NM LP #2: NM / VG+ LP #3: VG+ / VG+ LP #4: NM / NM LP #5: NM / NM LP #6: VG+ / VG+ LP #7: NM / NM LP #8: VG+ / NM LP #9: NM / NM LP #10: VG+ / NM
The sides that are graded as VG+ have one or more cosmetic defects that must have been created at some point in the manufacturing process - NONE of these defects affect playback. In that regard, please note that I have played both sides of all ten LPs no more than once or twice with the exception of LP #1, which I have played four or five times.
The 16-page LP sized booklet is in near mint condition. The LP-sized box that houses the ten LPs and the booklet is in near mint minus condition with almost no signs of wear.
