Description
This vinyl record was a reissue by Fantasy Records (who owned the Prestige Masters). The original recording was made in 1955. This reissue was released (estimate) in 1983. It had a $5.98 list price and I purchased it in the 1980s at Tower Records for $4.99 (see price sticker). This album is in the original shrink-wrap with an information strip wrapped around the left side (front) under the shrink-wrap.

History: The Musings of Miles is the first 12" LP record by Miles Davis. It was issued by Prestige Records in September 1955, following several LPs issued in the 10 inch format. The six tracks were all recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's home studio. In addition to Miles Davis (trumpet) the session also included Pianist Red Garland, drummer Philly Joe Jones, Oscar Pettiford – bass.
