Description
Milli Vanilli’s "Girl You Know It’s True" vinyl LP with SEALED COVER. This is the 1989 U.S.debut album that did NOT feature the two singers who were supposedly the group. It turns out the album was recorded with session singers and musicians and the two guys fronting Milli Vanilli did not actually perform on the album, but were just pretty faces used to lip sync and dance for the videos. The album produced five singles that reached the top 5 in Billboards Top 100, sold over 7 million units and awarded the group the 1969 Grammy Award for Best New Artist. It also produced a scandal surrounding the use and crediting of the personnel involved in comprising the album After the fraud was revealed, Arista Records dropped the group and deleted the album from their catalog, making it one the largest selling albums ever to be taken out of print, and their Grammy Award was revoked, marking the first time for that!. This is a SEALED copy of the now infamous, original Arista album in mint-condition with a promotional sticker on the front. There is a slight tear under a plastic strip that was affixed to the upper part of the back of the album (see photo) that would not affect its beauty or value were the album to be framed and displayed.
