Description

Milton Marsh - Monism  rare OG Strata East !!

Strata East SES-19758 rare orig. US from 1975 M-/M-

One of the harder to find records on Strata East, and a beautiful set of spiritual jazz tracks composed and arranged by reed player Milton Marsh. We know little about Marsh, but the tracks on the LP are prime Strata East material – with nice moments that go a bit far out, but a general groove that's pretty inside, and very much in the label's strong 70's soul jazz tradition. Titles include "Vonda's Tune", "Monism", "Metamorphosis", and "Ode to Nzinga". Nice stuff, and one that we hardly ever see! (Cover has a bit of light wear, but this is a great copy overall.)
