Description
A very nice copy of the original US first (Pitman) pressing of Minnie Riperton's debut LP "Come To My Garden", from 1971.
The Ivy Duo-Pak gatefold sleeve is VG- condition, with ring wear and edge wear. Please refer to the photographs. The sleeve is clean with no odours or stains. Comes with a plain white inner sleeve.
Visual vinyl grading: VG++. The record looks like it was very well cared for. Examination under a strong light shows only a few minor scuffs. The labels are clean and in great shape (see photos).
Audio vinyl grading: VG+. Overall the sound quality is EX, with typical vinyl surface noise that can be heard between tracks and during some of the quieter passages. I've downgraded it to VG+ for a couple of issues: On side one there are some repeating ticks in the dead band right between tracks one & two (the songs themselves are ok), and also at the beginning of track four. On side two, the intro to track three seems (to me) to be a little noisier than the others.
Otherwise a great sounding LP, with remarkable dynamics and punch. This is the record your stereo has been waiting for!
Matrix Side A: GRTS 30001-A STM 4817-1 GS3
Matrix Side B: GRTS 30001-B [GRT-S 3000X B] STM 4818-1 GS (<--- text in brackets is struck out)
