Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band MAS 2653 Mono
This is an absolute Complete Mint- First Press, and even has the song title "A Little Help From My Friends" printed on the label, instead of the later "With a Little Help From My Friends".
My photos are fairly accurate, the only thing is, on the back cover photo, the opening to the cover looks a little funny, that is NOT damage, it is the insert sticking out a bit combined with a light reflection.
Also please note: The border of the cover is white all the way around, the front cover photo shows it looking a little yellow in the upper left corner, that is a shadow, the entire border is so close as perfectly white as the day it was made.
This LP includes the original insert in Mint condition.
The Cover is Mint- , No Seam Splits. only the very faintest minor partial wear, Its super nice as you can see by the photos. Note virtually every unwrapped copy has some minor wear, and almost everyone removed the shrink-wrap to open the gatefold cover.
The Vinyl: Mint- appears unplayed with not even a visible spindle line!
Includes the Mint Insert, and original psychedelic red/pink/white inner sleeve with no seam splits.
THERE ARE 2 REASONS THIS IS A MOST DESIREABLE LP :
1) IT IS MUCH RARER THAN THE US STEREO PRESS AND,
2) AND I READ ITS BECAUSE THE BEATLES WERE INVOLVED DIRECTLY IN THE MONO MIX AND BECAUSE IT IS QUITE DIFFERENT TO THE STEREO MIX WHICH IS THE MIX MOST OF US ARE FAMILAIR WITH, MONO COPIES ARE MORE SOUGHT AFTER, AND THIS ONE IS A BEAUTY.
This is a cernterpiece of any Beatles collection, arguably still the best LP ever made; and when you consider all those layers of beautiful sound were recorded on a 1950’s analog 4-Track recorder!!!
I am fortunate enough over the years to have found another copy over, for my collection, so I can offer this recently acquired one to you.
////////////RECORD GRADING ::: FS=Factory Sealed. /// New= New (or Mint) perfect in every way, record appears unplayed. /// New- = New minus (or Mint minus), record played maybe 1 to 9 times , perhaps a few spindle lines on label, and maybe a sleeve line or two. Covers close to M, has maybe a small corner bend, maybe the very slightest of ring line caused by the record./// VG+ = Very Good Plus, record played a little more than an m- but well cared for. Vinyl has the vast majority of its original luster, may have sleeve lines, maybe a few very lite scuffs; maybe one or two small, very light surface scratches. But not all at the same time. Cover MAY have very minor ringwear, maybe a few other flaws, a minor corner bend or two, maybe a small partial seam split; /// VG = record has the flaws of a VG+, only more of them; may also have some small scratches that are felt with a fingernail. Vinyl is very playable and will play through, good luster. Probably some noise between tracks, maybe in quiet passages. Still, a reasonably well cared for record. /// VG- = proportionally lower than a VG.//// G-It is rare that I will even list a record in this condition; but it will be proportionally lower than a VG-.
