Description

HIGHLY SOUGHT first and best of the two albums released by thee mighty SIR LORD BALTIMORE ...a powerful 1971 album on highest levels of early 70's hard-rock legends...
........................................................................................................ You better fasten your seat-belt, this one, beginning to end
........................................................................................................
The 1971 released Kingdom Come was recorded at Vantone Studios and engineered by Nick Masse from the legendary "Four Seasons" West Orange, New Jersey. Additional tracks, mixing, & overdubbing were done at New York, New York's Jimi Hendrix Electric Lady Studios with legendary engineer Eddie Kramer, better known for his work with Jimi Hendrix. British psychedelic rock band Pink Floyd had the opportunity to hear Sir Lord Baltimore during these sessions, and were reportedly impressed...

All you true blue Heavy fans, take heart. This album is a crusher !!!

"Kingdom Come" is a far cry from the Grand Funk sludge, because
Sir Lord Baltimore have down pat most all the best heavy psych-rock tricks in the book. Precisely, they sound like a mix between the uptempo noise-blasts of Led Zeppelin (instrumentally) and singing that’s like an unending Johnny Winter shriek: they have it all down cold, including medium or uptempo blasts a la Led Zeppelin, a perfect carbon of early cataclysmic MC5 (“Hard Rain Fallin’”), and the one-soft-an-album concept originated by Jimmy Page and his gang. No slow blooze for these guys: “Excitement is what we’re into…” In addition, “Jack Bruce has been a major influence on my career” says Sir Lord Baltimore bassist Garry Justin. Top that, man.  And while there’s good Heavy and bad Heavy....if you’re going to listen to heavy music—despite unending putdowns, condescension, and scorn from so-called rock and roll journalists, not to mention moldy English Invasion purists — why listen to leaden plodding grooves like Free and Grand Funk Railroad when you can have a classic slug-in-the-gut knockout like the mighty  SIR LORD BALTIMORE !

very nice...

I have been collecting records for 45 years.  All records I sell are out of my own extensive collection and have been upgraded consistently over the years.  Any record I sell is the best I could find in all this time.  I had a store for a while and would try to keep one copy of albums I liked.  Most are unplayed.  I try to keep my descriptions short to save you time.  I assume, if you are here, you know the album, titles, etc.  If not, Allmusic is a great site to get the scoop. Bid with confidence!

Visit my store for more rare lps.

Of course all your purchases are guaranteed for satisfaction.

All records are guaranteed if returned in same condition.  SEALED RECORDS MUST BE RETURNED STILL SEALED!

Records are visually graded unless stated...have been doing this for a long time.

All grades are cover first then record.

MINT is unplayed, sealed, or play-graded mint.

MINT MINUS is like new but probably played once or twice...most would grade this mint

NEAR MINT is near new with some slight signs of play...an extremely clean record

VERY GOOD PLUS is collectible but might have some light sleeve marks and some light noise...still plays very well with no major issues.

I WILL USE  (+) AND (-) FOR EMPHASIS ON THE BASIC GRADES...I DO NOT LIST ITEMS LESS THAN VERY GOOD PLUS UNLESS THEY ARE EXTREMELY RARE AND THEN A FULL DISCLOSURE WILL BE PROVIDED.   BID WITH CONFIDENCE.

Flaws in covers will be noted.
