Description
The product is a rare 7" 45 rpm EP vinyl record (4 tracks) titled "Missing Persons" by the artist "Missing Persons," released in 1980 on the KoMoS record label. This first edition EP features new wave music from the 1980s, produced by Ken Scott. The vinyl is graded as very good (VG) and comes in a cardboard sleeve with fair (F) grading. Produced in the United States, this collectible piece of music history offers a unique addition to any vinyl record collection for fans of 80s music.
The 1980 self-titled EP by Missing Persons, released on KoMoS Records, was produced and engineered by Ken Scott for KoMoS Productions.
The EP was recorded at Frank Zappa’s Utility Muffin Research Kitchen studio. The band was formed by Dale Bozzio (vocals), Terry Bozzio (drums, keyboards), and Warren Cuccurullo (guitar), all of whom had previously worked with Zappa.
This independently released EP featured early versions of tracks like “Mental Hopscotch” and “Destination Unknown,” which later appeared on their 1982 Capitol Records debut album, Spring Session M.
The EP is notable for its blend of new wave and synth-pop elements, showcasing the band's innovative sound that would gain them wider recognition in the early 1980s. -Wikipedia
Note: First track on side 2 doesn't have the song "Words" but instead Missing Persons rendition of "Hello I Love You" by the Doors. This is a Very hard to find EP.
