Description

Money can't buy you love...but it can buy an end to domestic violence.. and Missy Higgins Converse Sneakers!!

Each year, on average, seventy seven Australians are killed by their intimate partner. To help end domestic violence, seventy seven prominent Australians contributed their shoes to an awareness raising exhibition. Some have taken the next step and donated their shoes to an Ebay auction to take place during the Week Without Violence, 14-20 October.

Missy Higgins is one of these celebrities taking a stand against domestic violence - 'I support this campaign wholeheartedly. Domestic violence is something that goes on behind doors, yet at the same time right under our noses. We need to bring public awareness to this fact and let the victims know that real help is out there'.

Missy Higgins is an award-winning Australian singer-songwriter, best known for her hit singles "Scar" and "The Special Two" off her debut album The Sound of White. In 2005, Missy Higgins won ARIA Awards for "Album of the Year" (for The Sound of White), "Best Female Artist", "Best Pop Release" (for The Sound of White), "Breakthrough Artist - Album Release" (for The Sound Of White) and "Highest Selling Album" (again, for The Sound of White.

Her second album, On a Clear Night was released in April 2007.

And these are her shoes..

Missy Higgins Converse Sneakers - Women's Size 7 - faded navy, worn. The shoes were owned and worn by Missy Higgins, and still have the stains and chewing gum stuck to them from when Missy wore them! The shoes come accompanied by an autographed 2007 Australian Tour promotional picture.
