Description
Mobile Fidelity UHQR, The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper's, NR
Offered today is an extremely rare Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs Ultra High Quality Recording (UHQR) of The Beatles “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band". This audiophile recording was made in 1982 by the Victor Company of Japan, better known today as JVC. It was pressed on a thick, high definition, super vinyl using state of the art (for the time) half-speed production and mastering from the original stereo master tape, cut in 1967.
The vinyl is clean, scratch free, as mint as they come; however, it has been played. I am the original owner and am the only one ever to have played it. The last time was almost 20 years ago. Since then, it has been stored with the rest of my music collection, upright, in a controlled environment. No one has even touched it until today for the photos.
As you can see from the photos, the album comes with all documentation as issued, including the signed Certificate of Authenticity, stating that this was the 4642nd pressing made. Everything looks even better than the photos, which make the vivid reds of the album cover appear orange in color. I assure you there has been no bleaching or fading of the album cover or outer padded case.
When purchased in 1982, this album cost me $85.00. What is it worth today? Certainly, this fantastic recording would enhance any music collection, but is a must for the Beatles collector. It is offered at NO RESERVE.
