Comments: After having done nothing at the time of its release 36 years ago, this 45 has become popular over the last years. Ollie Woodson is on lead on the relaxed A-side with a slow to mid-tempo plodding beat. With winning melody and fine vocals it turns dramatic towards the end thanks to some well-timed falsettos including the fade-out. The B-side is up-tempo with a snappy bouncing beat in the heralded Detroit tradition. When I first heard it, it reminded me of something else. After listening a few times it suddenly dawned upon me - Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing”.
