Back cover liners would have you believe that Monument are a devilish side project of a witches coven high priest and occult bookstore part timers, while the truth perhaps exceeds the reality. Widely known as an all night jam session by members of Zior, Monument could rightly be referred to as Zior's drunken counterpart. Bombed on pills and cheap ale, 'The first Monument' is a harsh psychedelia caught in it's moment. Kind of directionless and stoned genius within the same breath, Monument rolled another one and kept going. It's a very clean 2000 pressing, still in shrinkwrap and limited edition 500 copies. The bright vinyl shows signs of being pulled out of the tight inner sleeve and plays through intensely stoned and spooky! Check all the photos,it's a great copy that you'll never find at Target. A highly regarded artifact of heavy English Rock for sure and what is in actuality, the second Zior album.
