Soundtrack
Morning of the earth
Rare OZ LP released in 1972 on Warner Records. Cat: WS20004. This album has a gatefold sleeve.
It's difficult not to get too carried away when describing the soundtrack album "Morning of the Earth". A sublime collection of songs that has enticed and haunted a generation of surfers and non surfers alike and continues to be played on high repeat on most surf trips around the world today. Probably one of the best "surf music" albums ever made, with excellent musicianship, great production values, and a strong narrative thread with no spoken words in the movie itself. To paraphrase Albe Falzon "the songs are the story and the dialogue for the film". This album is a brilliant combination of folk, Psyche and tinges of fiery pog music that takes the listener on a rolling tour of emotions that fills them with a warm sense of purpose and belonging.
