Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

Morrissey - 'Interesting Drug' Mispressed 1-Track 12" - 1989
Catalogue no. 12 POPS 1621 - HMV Records
This is a peculiar and rare Morrissey collectable in that this special etched version of the 'Interesting Drug' 12" usually appears with two tracks on the A-side, 'Interesting Drug' and 'Such A Little Thing Makes Such A Big Difference', but this copy has only 'Interesting Drug' on the A-side; the B-side has no music but, instead, has the intended etched 'Motor Cycle Au Pair Boy' Oscar Wilde design which is present on all of the copies of this etched version of the 12". It is clear that it is a true mispress, in that the wrong stamping plate has been used to press the record. This etched 12" was intended to have the catalogue number '12 POPS 1621' rather than the standard 12" catalogue number of '12 POP 1621'. Accordingly, the vast majority of these special etched 12" records have the former catalogue number in the run-out groove and the message "What Kind Of Man Reads Denim Delinquent?". In this case, the A-side for the standard (in bright orange sleeve) 12" has clearly been incorrectly used since the run-out groove has the '12 POP 1621' catalogue number and the message "ESCAPE FROM VALIUM". The label is the correct one for this etched 12", however, and therefore has the intended catalogue number '12 POPS 1621'; the pairing of the A-side vinyl here and the label are therefore mismatched and are not seen anywhere else together on any other pressing. Even the special 'SPM29 black label' version is different to this one, having a unique label and message, neither of which are present here. This is a genuine and rare collectable which is not often seen for sale, and is offered in highly-collectable condition (see below).The vinyl and labels are in near mint condition, having only the lightest of 'hairline' superficial surface marks in a few places on the highly-glossy vinyl which can only be seen if held to the light. The sleeve is in strong excellent condition, with strong sharp edges and just some very mild 'corner wear' in a few places but no creases or significant signs of wear. Please see the accompanying photos; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not the item itself.
