Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.
I accept returns and offer a full refund if you are not happy with your purchase.
Morrissey - 'We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful' UK Promo 10" - 1992
Catalogue no. 10POPDJ 1629 - HMV Records
This rare and unusual item is one of two promotional 10" Morrissey singles to be released, the other being for 'You're The One For Me, Fatty'. It came in a distinctive 'retro' style red HMV sleeve which lists a quirky selection of singles from the back catalogue on the reverse. It has the title track on each side which, while playing at the usual 45 rpm on one side, plays at 78 rpm on the other! Consequently these curious records have been snapped up by collectors and have become exceptionally rare. Owing to the thin paper sleeves which were used, it is difficult to find these in good condition and this is a chance to obtain one in terrific condition (see below). The vinyl and labels are in strong excellent condition, with just the faintest of occasional 'hairline' surface superficial marks which can only be seen if held to the light. The vinyl is bright and glossy and retains its original 'sheen'. The thin paper sleeve is also, remarkably, in strong excellent condition, with no tears, writing, damage or significant creases anywhere. There is just faint light 'rippling' in a few places and the beginnings of some minor 'ringwear' on the reverse due to the impression from the vinyl inside. There is no seam splitting at all. A terrific example of this rare collectable. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail showing the actual record and sleeve for sale; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.
All my auctions start at 1P and have NO RESERVE. They are all 100% genuine, original versions. Some are in mint/new condition and some are used; all will go to the highest bidder. I offer a money-back guarantee if anything is described incorrectly. Postage and Packing is free in the UK for untracked and uninsured standard postage, but please consider paying the 1.00 surcharge for tracked postage since there is, of course, nothing that can be done to find out what happened if the parcel is lost when standard postage is chosen. Shipping costs are greater for overseas buyers, but still good value; please check prices by using the options above or feel free to ask. I always take great care to package items well.See my other auctions for related rare items here. If multiple auctions are won at the same time (within a week), I will charge only the postage cost for the heaviest item and pay the remainder myself. This is the case wherever you live.
