The 'Maladjusted'-era UK 12" Morrissey singles, on the 'Island' record label, are notoriously difficult to track down on vinyl. Sales of vinyl at the time were rapidly declining, and the 12" vinyl format had been all but superceded by the CD single. This 12" is almost certainly the most difficult of those singles to obtain; being the only non-promo Morrissey 12" record to appear in Record Collector's Top 50 list of Morrissey rarities late in 2009. Pressed on heavyweight vinyl, with the distinctive 'pink rim' Island labels, inside a very thick glossy outer sleeve, it is an absolute pleasure to own and seems highly likely to accumulate in value owing to its scarcity and desirability amongst collectors. I believe it is the only place where the rare track 'The Edges Are No Longer Parallel' can be found on vinyl. This is a terrific item, which has been preserved in outstanding condition (see below).The heavyweight vinyl and labels are in near mint condition, retaining its as-new glossy appearance and having no surface marks to the vinyl or labels; the record is almost certainly unplayed. The thick cardboard outer sleeve is somewhere between strong excellent and near mint, having no marks, writing or creases. The surface has its original 'sheen' and all edges are sharp; the only sign of wear is in the middle of the top edge where the vinyl has just begun to break the surface, from being stored inside by a previous owner, while not yet forming a seam split. This is a remarkable example of this tremendously-rare record, which appears almost as it must have done when first bought from new.
