Description

The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get UK Promo 7" (RDJ6372) Signed By Morrissey

I got this 7" promo signed when Morrissey did an in-store appearance at Tower Records in New York City in April 1994. He was there to promote "Vauxhall And I" which had recently been released.

Although Morrissey was signing everything with a gold or silver marker that day, I asked Morrissey to sign the sleeve with a red marker since I thought it would look good against the yellow and Morrissey replied "hmmm... yes, I agree". Interestingly enough, the guy with the camera on the sleeve with Morrissey is Jake Walters and he was there as the record got signed. He smiled and said "good choice" when I placed it on the table to be signed. I thought for a second about asking him to sign it, but I decided against it... the right call I think.

The vinyl is in mint condition and has never been played. The sleeve is in excellent condition and has been preserved well.

Please check out my other actions of Smiths/Morrissey rarities. As a longtime fan and collector, I can assure you that all of my items come from a smoke and pet free environment. They have been carefully stored in a cool, dark and damp free environment.

I am willing to ship internationally to most countries, but international bidders must contact me for shipping info before placing a bid.

Thanks for looking… feel free to email me with any questions.
