Description
THE COMPLETE BLUE NOTE 45 SESSIONS OF IKE QUEBEC ~~~ Mosaic MR3-121 (limited to 7,500 copies ... now out of print ... copy #3801) ~~~ Box Set Includes: 3 LPs in Sleeves Box 12-Page Booklet (photos, discography, etc.) ~~~ Box, Booklet, LPs, are in Near Mint Condition. ~~~ A near mint condition, three LP, limited edition (now out-of print) box set from the folks at Mosaic Records (copy #3801 of 7,500). This set features: THE COMPLETE BLUE NOTE 45 SESSIONS OF IKE QUEBEC. Other featured musicians include: Skeeter Best, Edwin Swanson, Charles Sonny Wellesley, Les Jenkins, Sir Charles Thompson, Milt Hinton, J. C. Heard, Willie Jones, Earl Vandyke, Sam Jones, and Wilbert Hogan. The box set includes a 12-page booklet which contains essays/analysis of Mr. Quebec's music and personal history by Michael Cuscuna and Loren Schoenberg, a complete discography of the music collected in this box set, and a number of rare photos. The box, LPs, and booklet are all in NEAR MINT. The LPs appear to be unplayed or very lightly played. Disc II Side IV does have some peculiar surface blemishes on the first two tracks, which must have been a result of some anomaly in the pressing process. The blemishes cause only the tiniest hint (if any at all) of surface noise. The booklet appears virtually unread, but does show very light wear at the edges. The box, likewise, shows very light shelfwear at the edges. A wonderfully produced, audiophile quality, 3 LP box set of outstanding modern jazz from the folks at Mosaic Records.
