Description
Title: The Complete Edmund Hall, James P. Johnson, Sidney De Paris, Vic Dickenson Blue Note Sessions
Number: MR6-109
Format: 6 Lps Edition: 3,470 of 7,500
Booklet Condition: Very good. The black back cover does show several creases or cracks in the black, but by large intact and well-maintained.
LP Condition: As noted in other auctions, I haven't had a turntable for a long time. At most, I listened to once. The prior owner(s) probably had the same level of usage. These look like new records. Side VI, however, when held up to halogen light has a very fine line (I am not sure it is a scratch--looks like this is probably how manufactured) running through it at an angle. This should not affect play.
Sleeves: All Mosaic sleeves--at least that is my assessment. All in good condition. This set did not have bubble wrap insert. I don't know if prior owner removed it or not. I wouldn't have.
Box Condition: No dents, binding intact. After I completed posting, I noticed a two small wholes in the black cardboard along the bottom of the box. In total, about 1 inch. I also noticed some slight wear on the side that flips up when you open box--I'd say about 4 inch stretch has some visible cuts in the joint. In very good shape, however--much better than the Ammons set that I am also selling auctioning this week. See photos.
Provenance: Purchased on ebay around 1999 or 2000
Reason for Sale: Change of hobbies
Shipping Override: Shipping rates are for shipping within the 48 continental U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The $15 for U.S. priority mail is based on past experience with Mosaic sets and includes insurance. Those purchasing outside the continental U.S. will need to make payment for the actual postage. I will calculate the price based on your location and add it to the invoice. My recent experience for shipments to Europe is about $37.25 International Priority Mail (6 to 10 day delivery). You also will have to pay for insurance, which is more costly than shipping within the United States.
Shipping Container. I bubble wrap the set, and have been placing it in a 14 by 14 by 6 cardboard container, with crumpled newspaper to cushion the bubble-wrapped set. Container size may change, depending on availability, but this size seems to work nicely.
Risk of Loss: I bear risk of loss if package is lost or destroyed in transit. In case of loss in transit, you don’t pay, but I don’t have to find a replacement set. In other words, auction is null and void.
