Description

Ultra rare and sought after soul from Mark V Studies in Greenville, SC!!!  This record plays through on both sides, but has the following flaws that led me to grade it as Fair:
It has plenty of scratches that are visible on the images I included.  More pronounced on the "I'll Pay the Price" side.

The record plays through with crackle and occasional pops on both sides but no skips.  One feelable scratch on the "I'll Pay the Price" side creates the most audible pops for a few rotations. The sound quality is better overall on the "They Don't Want Us Together" side.  I think there is small bit of debris somewhere in the run-in groove on that side because the needle will sometimes not advance to the music.  I simply raise the needle and drop again, and the music will start just fine.

The record lays perfectly flat.  I did find a slight crack in the lead-in groove that extends into the music for a few rotations.  I could not hear any pops associated with it, so it appears to have zero impact on how the record plays. It is slight enough that you can't feel it when running a fingernail across the lead-in groove, but it's there.  See the third and fourth photos for that detail.

Because of the slight crack, I will securely package in a 45 mailer, but then place that mailer in a larger box surrounded by "air pillows".  So, it will be well protected in transit.

Thanks and good luck being the winning bidder on this rare gem!

I made a full video of each side playing so that you can hear sound quality if interested.  Each file is about 250 MB.  Here are the links:
