Description
Inherited from a relative, along with other stuff I am currently selling. Very rare Mother Of Invention album from 1966 + the very first A-1/B-1 matrix's and fold over laminated mono cover! Has original 'Patents Applied For' plain white inner sleeve also (see picture).
Grading:- Cover looks nice - with no tears, no splits, no writing and no other nasties! Spine text is perfect and fully readable. No edge wear. Cover is flat looking with minimal creasing. Corners have minimal wear (one has a possibility of inking in) and are still square looking. The back is super clean with barely any toning and undamaged fold overs. Usual ageing along edges of fold overs and no dirt apart from a touch towards the top back. Look closely and there is also a touch of surface wear just below the bottom fold over. I will grade the cover Very Good+. The record is very black and shiny indeed, with only a few really light lines, and some paper rubbing under a bright light. Record plays really well too - with just the odd static crackle here and there and no hiss. But as this album has been sitting in my relatives collection for many years, I suspect it could do with a clean (even though it isn't dirty and has been well stored). The labels look really nice, with only a small area of discolouration on each (still black on a black part of the label but it shines differently on this small area on each label). I will grade the record Very Good+. Very rare album to find now....
