The Mothers Of Invention "Cruising With Ruben & The Jets"
This is an original US vinyl pressing on Verve V6 5055-X from 1968. This is the original stereo pressing on the blue label. This was their fourth album. This is the Mothers Of Invention recording under a different name in a last ditch attempt to get their cruddy music on the radio. It includes their huge flop singles : How Could I Be Such A Fool, Deseri, Jelly Roll Gum Drop, and Anyway The Wind Blows. This includes a photo copy of the insert : Bop Dance step instructions.
Overall Condition is : Cover is M- / Record is M
The vinyl looks mint and it plays mint. ( You will never find a more mint copy ) The cover is near mint with no ring wear, no writing , and no seam splits. The bottom right corner has a tiny bump. On the back cover at top center is a hint of wear. The labels are perfect with no spindle marks. The record comes in a Verve Records inner sleeve.
The songs are : Cheap Thrills, Love Of My Life, How Could I Be Such A Fool, Deseri, I'm Not Satisfied, Jelly Roll Gum Drop, Anything, Later That Night, You Didn't Try To Call Me, Fountain Of Love, No No No, Anyway The Wind Blows, and Stuff Up The Cracks.
I have been buying and selling records for more than 25 years. I sell records at all Northwest record conventions and at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.
I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard. One sheet is 3/4 inch thick triple strength industrial cardboard. The other sheet is 1/4 inch double strength cardboard. Together they are very strong and unbendable. ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! ) It will weigh 24 ounces ( 1 pound, 8 ounces ) when ready to ship. US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US priority or Media Mail. All US winners will get shipping through Paypal with a tracking number. Overseas buyers must use First Class Mail International. I will let you know the date I mailed your record and the US customs number. ( Buyers from Italy must assume all risks for shipping to their country. ) I will remove the record from the cover and place them in a plastic bag. I will send it as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM.) I will combine shipping if you win more than one record. There are no handling charges. This record is from a no smoking and no pets home.
