Description
From the collection of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes the Holy Grail for hard rock and glam metal fans. The genuine original 1981 7 inch 45 single, comprising Stick To Your Guns & Toast Of The Town, released on Leather Records, catalogue number MC-001. This is the authentic 1981 release, NOT any subsequent bootlegs or re-releases. Only 1,000 pressed and with the picture sleeve. Of course, as in life, there’s a bit of good news / bad news. Good news is that the record is in very good condition, most likely lightly played or even not played that much at all. Bad news is there are two scratches on the B (Toast Of The Town) side, which look nasty but there’s no sign of them when played. Also, on Side B, and I have no idea how to describe this, there are three instances of what appears like folds in the disc (although there’s nothing in the corresponding space on the other side) that manifest as little dips in the vinyl that run in a straight line from the outside edge of the record towards the centre. Again, it doesn’t affect play at all. The picture sleeve is in very good condition although there is a pen notation on the front cover. The starting price is low to reflect these inconsistencies. Matrix: Side A: MC-001A. R-7224. JS-XTAL. L-5354. Side B: MC-001B. JS-XTAL. B-5354X. R-7225 – NOTE: the “B” in the B-5354-X looks more like an overlay of L and R).Check my other auctions for rarities and extremities across all genres, including Australian rock. Contact me for more photos or information. With enough warning (don’t leave it until ten minutes before the auction finishes), I can provide sound files of both sides. Packaging will be extensive and heavy, to protect such a precious cargo. Full insurance will also payable by the buyer.
