****THE ONLY FLAW ON THIS ISSUE IT HAS IS THAT THE ORIGINAL FACTORY SEALED VINYL WAS BARELY A LITTLE SPLIT IN THE SEAL COMING OFF AT THE BOTTOM OF THE VINYL AND IS NO BIG DEAL IT IS SO SMALL IT IS HARDLY NOTICEABLE IT IS THE 3rd PHOTO IN THIS LISTING.  SO TO PREVENT IT FROM SPREADING I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE BEST SOLUTION.  SO I HAD TO PUT A PIECE OF TAPE OVER IT TO STOP IT FROM SPREADING. OTHER THEN THAT IT IS IN MINT CONDITION AND NEVER OPENED OR PLAYED OR RESEALED.****LOOKS LIKE IT DID COMING OFF THE SHELF 33 YEARS AGO****

900 1st pressings original copies were made. SO RARE YOU WILL BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND THESE IN THE CONDITION THEY ARE IN.

Band name and album title is written in white on the front cover.

The labels are white with black lettering.

LR-123 printed on the spine of the cover.

Very thick and stiff cover.

Vince hair is big and looks weird on the insert photo.

Vince's hair was heavily retouched so it would be visible against the white background

I ALSO HAVE A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY FROM COFFMAN AND COFFMAN!!!!  I will provide a copy of it cause I need the original for all the other stuff I own from COFFMAN"S collection!!!!

Before being "signed" Motley Crue, with financing from their first manager Allan Coffman formed Leathur Records and recorded their first album -Too Fast For Love

This is a very rare 1st pressing of the Leathur Records pressings -

This album is very rare - especially still factory sealed!!!!  And never resealed!!!!

I personally went to the Coffman An Coffman Estate Auction and was the highest bidder and won 3 of the 1st pressings of the TFFL Vinyls.  I am willing to part ways with one of them.  I knew Mr. Allan Coffman myself personally Motley Crue's first agent in the early 80's!

Too Fast For Love was originally recorded independently by the band themselves. This was before signing with Electra Records. There were three pressings, the first pressing being the rarest of all (only 900 copies). The album also includes the song "Stick To Your Guns".

LEATHÜR RECORDS was Mötley Crüe's own record label that their debut album was released on. Leathür Records was actually created by Mötley Crüe and manager Allan Coffman. Too Fast for Love was released in December 1981. There is three pressings of the Leathür Records LP (with four variations of the insert). The first press being the rarest. The first pressing has white lettering on the front cover and a close up picture of Vince's crotch. Vince's hair was touched up so it would show up against the white background on the back cover and on the insert photo, the result was not good and Vince freaked when he saw it but at that time it was too late to change it. For the second and third press the big air-brushed hair was significantly reduced, they also made a few other changes to the cover such as a red logo and the addition of sunglasses on the back and different photos/retouch on the insert.

In January 29, 1982 Mötley signed a deal with Greenworld Records Limited who manufactured and distributed the third pressing Leathür LP. The album was part of what is referred to as a pressing & distribution deal, meaning that the band retained ownership of the masters and Greenworld had rights to make the records and put them out. Too Fast For Love on Leathür Records was also available on cassette.

The band was then picked up by Elektra Records and in May 20, 1982 Motley Crue signed their record deal with Elektra Records. The signing of an agreement between Greenworld and Elektra to transfer the Too Fast For Love license from Greenworld to Elektra was also made. Too Fast For Love was ordered to be re-recorded for the Elektra re-release. The recording was done by Roy Thomas Baker. On August 20, 1982 The Too Fast For Love album is re-released on Elektra Records. The Elektra version contained a different track order. Other changes were also made, a big red logo on the front cover, new group photo on the insert and the song "Stick To Your Guns" was removed.

Mötley Crüe also pressed 1,000 copies of a 7" single for "Stick To Your Gun" b/w "Toast Of The Town". This was a completely different recording of "Stick To Your Guns" from their press kit demo recordings. The song "Toast Of The Town" was not included on the original album.
