Description
Motorhead / Motorhead (debut) /12" 1st Press/WIK-2 A1/B1/vinyl and sleeves; NM;.
Hello my fellow music fans, some back story. I bought this the first weekend it was released in late September 1977. I had seen Motorhead supporting Hawkwind on their June 1977 tour for the album Quark, Strangeness and Charm. Motorhead literally blew us all away with their power and volume ! This has only been played a handful of times and not at all since 1979. The condition of the vinyl is NEAR MINT, no scratches, no spindle wear. The original inner sleeve is NEAR MINT too, the outer sleeve is Excellent as on the rear cover by the spine the lamination has come away slightly by about 2mm depth, not a big issue but it is there. So this is the first UK pressing, the black/white lettering with swastika on the second helmet spike. Runout matrix info is;- Side 1 - WIK-2 A-1, Side 2 - WIK-2 B-1 Made and printed by Press and Post Ltd, usual erros on the sleeve;- Viborator instead of Vibrator, Kilminster instead of Kilmister and no definite article (THE) in front of "train kept a rollin'" !? OH and two missing end )'s too ! This is a very rare lovely condition piece of music history for any of you Motorhead fans out there. I class myself as one but my hearing is just not up to taking the battering any more !
