Description

Mott The Hoople - 1st LP

(Island ILPS 9108 UK LP 1969)

This is a UK original 1969 LP pressing. It has a heavyweight matt gatefold sleeve. It comes with its original polythene lined company inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has pink "Island" labels. The record has A-2/ B-2 matrix stampers. A great late 1960's Prog-Psych-Rock LP.

Gatefold Sleeve: There is some moderate to considerable rubbing wear to the bottom edge. There is mild to moderate rubbing wear to the top edge. There is some mild to more moderate rubbing wear at the front sleeve opening. There is some light tape residue in the top left corner - on the front. This doesn't notice that much. There is some mild to moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is a some light or very mild rippling wear on a small area on the rear sleeve. VG condition

Vinyl: There are some mild, more moderate or moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are a couple of surface marks. One is more noticeable & is thicker than a hairline mark. The inner sleeve has left some light, mild or very mild marks on the vinyl. These can only be seen under a strong light. Good+ condition. The labels are in Very Near EX condition & show very mild spindle wear. The company inner sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in the background. This is more noticeable on the quieter passages. There are a few areas of more moderate crackle too. These do not last too long. It does not jump or skip. There are no loud clicks or pops.
