MOTT THE HOOPLE : THE HOOPLE - First pressing CBS UK Orange CBS label w/ Lyric Sheet
A first UK pressing of this classic Mott The Hoople album, which along with “Mott” and Bowie-produced “All TheYoung Dudes” completes their hat-trick of releases with CBS: making it an ESSENTIAL album to own for any serious collector of Glam/ Punk/ Classic/ Hard Rock.
Contains classic singles “The Golden Age of Rock ’n’ Roll” and “Roll Away the Stone”, as well as other wonderful Mott songs such as “Crash Street Kidds”, Overend’s “Born Late ’58”, and the beautiful “Trudi’s Song”. In fact the whole album is just classic after classic.
Whether you’re into Bowie, Glam Rock, or Punk Rock, this album is indispensable, and a must-have for your collection.
Vinyl is in NM (Near Mint) condition, and sleeve is also strong EX+++ showing little sign of wear for an almost 50 year old year old LP.
Lyric sheet is also in excellent condition with few signs of it’s age (one faint fingerprint, and very light creasing on corners, but NO discolouration/ yellowing).
Please see my photos, as I think you can see the condition pretty clearly as they’re decent quality shots (nothing to hide with stock images, or blurry out-of-focus shots here!) - but by all means let me know if you’d like any more photos of this collectors item.
My only reason for selling this marvellous LP is that I picked up another copy in super mint/ new condition with intact hype sticker. Until that point this actual copy formed part of my personal collection since 1981 so very much a treasured item, kept in pristine condition.
I would love it if this special album made it’s way to someone who appreciates great CLASSIC Rock Music.
Please get back to me with any questions, or if you require any more photos to confirm condition, I would be delighted to help.
Happy Collecting!
Andy
