This listing is for an extremely rare promotional only vinyl LP featuring the original soundtrack recordings for the Rankin / Bass 1968 NBC TV specials The Mouse On The Mayflower and The Little Drummer Boy.
Both specials were presented /sponsored by the American Gas Industry.
This album was a promotional only release from NBC sent to various press and local stations in advance of the TV specials airing. So it was not sold in stores or meant for any public broadcast.
Record Condition:
Visible signs of surface wear are present in the way of some light hairline scratches and scuffs.
And I would say that Side 2 has more visible and audible wear than Side 1 does.
There's also an audible dimple in the vinyl towards the end of the record of Side 2 (near the center). This is a manufacturing flaw that wasn't too uncommon in the '60s.
Surface noise is present at times.
The center labels are still pretty clean.
There's also some light dust/dirt, so a thorough deep cleaning would remove that and probably brighten the sound and appearance even more.
Industry Grade: I'd grade this as a mid range VG overall.
Jacket Condition:
Moderate signs of shelf wear are present on edges, spine, and corners.
Some ring wear is present on both the back and front cover.
There are no seam splits as the jacket is structurally sound. Although the lower left corner / edge does have some shelf wear that could have become a split in the future.
Overall despite the moderate ring wear, the cover is still pretty clean and displays well, especially considering it's white.
Inner Sleeve: Generic paper inner sleeve.
Industry Grade: Strong VG.
